Who we are
SleepStackHub covers the two things that actually determine whether you sleep well: the gear you sleep on and the habits that work against it. We review mattresses, bed frames, and sleep trackers with the same scrutiny, and we cover the sleep-science side — caffeine timing, alcohol's effect on sleep architecture, snoring, sleep apnea, andropause-related sleep disruption — because better gear on top of bad habits still leaves you tired.
What we cover
- Gear reviews and comparisons — mattresses and bed frames, sleep trackers and wearables, evaluated on what they actually measure or deliver, not marketing copy.
- Sleep science and habits — practical, specific guides on the factors that wreck sleep quality even with good gear: caffeine cutoff timing, alcohol's effect on deep and REM sleep, snoring causes and lifestyle-first fixes, and when a sleep issue (like suspected sleep apnea) is worth a real sleep study instead of another gadget.
- Condition-specific guidance — where sleep problems intersect with specific life stages or conditions (e.g. andropause-related sleep disruption), we cover what's actually going on and what helps, without overselling a product as a fix for a medical issue.
Our review approach
When we recommend a mattress, bed frame, or sleep tracker, we look at:
- What it actually measures or does, versus what the marketing claims — sleep trackers in particular vary widely in accuracy for stages like deep sleep and REM, and we say so when a device's own data should be read with skepticism.
- Fit for the actual problem — a $30 blue-light-blocking habit change sometimes matters more than a $2,000 mattress upgrade; we recommend gear changes and habit changes on their real merits, not because gear converts better.
- Honest trade-offs — trial periods, return policies, subscription costs on tracker apps, and firmness/durability trade-offs that don't show up in a five-star review.
Why trust us
This site earns affiliate commissions when readers buy through some of our links (see our Affiliate Disclosure for the full breakdown), but sleep is a health-adjacent topic, and we treat it that way: we don't recommend a product as a fix for a real medical condition (like diagnosed sleep apnea) in place of professional care, and a higher commission never moves a product up our recommendations.
